Frazier (George F.) is born in South Boston.

The son of George and Catherine (Minihan) Frazier, George Frazier is born at 19 L Street, graduates from Boston Latin School and and Harvard College, and becomes a journalist in 1936, writing a jazz column for Downbeat magazine, then a daily column for the Boston Herald in 1942.* Frazier marries Marion Madden in 1941, becomes entertainment editor for Life magazine, then returns to Boston. Acerbic and opinionated, Frazier goes on to write general interest columns for the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe from 1961 to 1974. He dies in Cambridge on June 13, 1974, and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery.
